Juneau,  the Capitol of Alaska, is home to the Mendanhall Glacier.

You can be adventurous and take a Helicopter ride and even land on the glacier.  The photo below was taken in 2003, today this glacier has receded and it now has a beautiful waterfall that you can visit via a short trail.
